This is a remote position until January 2022 after which the candidate will need to work onsite, in Cupertino, CA 95014, at our client’s HQ

Job Summary:

You will support sustainability initiatives and regulatory compliance on hardware products under development. Your work requires you to closely partner with Product Environmental Engineers/Program managers and Subject Matter Experts to support initiatives on energy efficiency, sustainable materials, design for environment, and phase-outs of hazardous substances

Key Qualifications:

One to two years of experience working on hardware product-related environmental initiatives.  Background in science and engineering preferred. Familiar with Excel and comfortable learning new software tools. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail where precision and accuracy matter. Strong communication skills, and thrives in a collaborative and independent work environment.

Job Description

This position is offered in our Client’s Environmental Technologies group within our client’s Hardware Engineering division. Their mission is to deliver world-leading programs to address the impacts of climate change, conserve resources, and utilize safer materials in our products. You will work closely with Product Environmental Engineers/Program managers and Subject Matter Experts to support pre/post product launch activities for various products including soft goods, watch bands, phones, displays, and desktops. Assist and develop customer communication deliverables including data collection, product Bill of Materials validation, verifying labels, manuals, and environmental certification documentation. Be responsible for coordinating product testing and identifying process improvement opportunities in the form of creating SOPs and automating routine tasks.
